US release times from Australia Most US releases land overnight here.
US data such as CPI and jobs comes out at 8:30 am US Eastern time, which is the evening or after midnight in eastern Australia. The gap changes when either country moves its clocks, so rely on the calendar: it shows each release in your own local time and links the official agency page.

Choosing a broker or prop firm from Australia Check who serves you, and check the licence.
- Read the firm's terms for residents of Australia and note which entity would hold your account.
- Look any licence up on the regulator's own register (asic.gov.au), not on the firm's own page.
- Retail CFD products carry extra rules and a high risk of fast loss; read the firm's risk statement.
- Prop firm rules change: see rule changes and news trading rules.
VERIFY CURRENT DATA on the firm's page and the regulator's register before you trade. Some links on Marlin are affiliate links; see the disclosure.
How Marlin sources its data Official pages, dated, with a VERIFY note when unsure.
Calendar dates come from the agencies' own schedules (BLS, BEA, the Federal Reserve, EIA). Analysis separates facts from opinion and carries a date. See the methodology.
Frequently asked questions
Is Marlin an Australian service?
No. Marlin is an independent research site run by Volodymyr Kravchenko. It is not a broker, not a licensed adviser and not regulated as a financial service. It publishes data, tools and sourced explanations, and it never tells you to buy or sell.
Where can I find a US economic calendar in Australian time?
The Marlin calendar lists US releases (CPI, jobs, Fed, PCE, GDP, EIA) with the release time, the markets each one moves and a countdown shown in your own local time. The official agency page is linked for every release.
Which risk calculators does Marlin offer?
A position size calculator, a drawdown calculator for prop firm limits, a prop firm lot size calculator, an expectancy calculator and a challenge cost calculator. They run in your browser and send nothing.
Does Marlin sell trading signals?
No. There are no signals and no advice. Pages explain what is happening in markets and give tools to size and check risk.
Can I use a broker or prop firm from Australia?
That depends on the firm's own terms and on which entity serves residents of Australia. Check the firm's terms, and check any licence on the regulator's own register. Marlin does not decide eligibility.
