Frequently asked questions
Does this tell me whether I am allowed to trade?
No. It shows the window each firm describes around a release, as read on the firm's own page. The rule that applies to your account is the one on the firm's site and in its calendar: check it before you trade.
Why do some events say "Not named"?
FTMO's page gives examples of restricted events (NFP, the Fed rate decision, CPI, GDP and Crude Oil Inventories) and says restricted events are marked in its own calendar. Events it does not name here, such as PCE, may or may not be marked, so check FTMO's calendar. FundingPips uses the high-impact events in its dashboard calendar and does not name them on the help page.
Is the EIA oil report included?
FTMO's FAQ names Crude Oil Inventories among restricted events for a Standard FTMO Account. See the Wednesday checklist for oil traders on funded accounts.
How current is the release schedule?
Dates come from the official agency schedules in the Marlin calendar, which is rebuilt daily. Holiday weeks can move a release: the calendar page notes it.
