Trade Gate
No stop, no trade. Three levels, and any one stops today.
Every trade has a stop at the broker before you enter. Then three levels: at most 1% per trade, a maximum risk for the day, a maximum drawdown for the week. If any one is raised, trading stops for today. At most 2 trades a day and 5 a week.
Level 1
1% per trade
Always a stop. No stop, no trade.
Level 2
Risk for the day
Reached: done for today.
Level 3
Drawdown for the week
Reached: done for today.

Example and software
Example: a $5,000 FundingPips account Fee, targets, limits, and what one trade risks.
- Fee: $39 for 2 Step Standard (5% daily loss) at 5K, from FundingPips' partner price list received 2026-10-21 (not an official public page). Check the price on FundingPips before you buy.
- Targets: 8% ($400) in phase 1, then 5% ($250) in phase 2.
- Daily loss 5%: $250, measured from the higher of balance and equity at 00:00 platform time (UTC+3).
- Max loss 10%: $500, a static floor at $4,500.
- Days: at least 3 trading days per phase, no time limit. There is no rush.
- Your gate: 1% = $50 per trade. Day risk 2% = $100, week 4% = $200: far inside the firm's limits, so you are stopped by your rule long before the firm's.
Rules as read on the firm's page, see rule changes and the FundingPips review. VERIFY CURRENT DATA on FundingPips before you trade.
How to enter a trade: the checklist Eight steps, in this order.
- Day check: is it a day you planned? Is the day locked?
- Gate counters: trades today (max 2) and this week (max 5).
- News window for your firm: the checker. Skip core release days.
- The setup matches your written rules.
- Stop at the invalidation level; size from the risk (1% = $50), not the other way round.
- Target at least 1:2 with room to run.
- Place the order with the stop attached. If the platform cannot attach it, do not trade.
- Write it in the journal with the stop price.
A sample week (3 trading days) Few days, few trades, no news.
Pick three quiet days that carry no core release for your firm, for example Monday, Wednesday and Thursday if the event days fall elsewhere (check the calendar each week). One or two trades on each, never more than 5 in the week. The minimum of 3 trading days per phase is met without trading every day.
Software that will not let you enter without a stop Honest limits, then a design that works.
Limit: a web page cannot block a platform, and neither can an Expert Advisor veto a manual order in MT5. What a program inside the platform can do is act the moment an order exists.
- Risk-first ticket: you type entry and stop, it computes the size from 1% and sends the order with the stop attached in one request. A market order without a stop does not exist in this flow.
- Guard (MT5 EA or cTrader cBot): on every new position with no stop, attach a default stop at once; if that fails, close the position.
- Tighten only: on a stop modification that moves away from the entry, put the old stop back.
- Counters from history: count today's and this week's deals and realised loss; at a limit, close open positions and refuse new ones until the next day.
This is a design, not a shipped program. A guard can be switched off by its owner and is no guarantee. Test any such program on a demo account first.
Frequently asked questions
Can a website stop me from entering a trade?
No. A web page cannot reach your trading platform. This page is a gate you pass before you click, and it locks the day in your browser when a level is raised. A guard that acts on the platform needs a program inside it (an MT5 Expert Advisor or a cTrader cBot); the spec is below.
Why no more than 1% per trade?
A static daily and max loss turn a run of losses into the end of the account. At 1%, five losses in a row cost 5%; at 3% they cost 15%. The cap is a hard ceiling here: the field cannot go above 1.
Why 2 trades a day and 5 a week?
Fewer trades force you to wait for the clean setup, and a cap on the count stops the revenge trade after a loss. It is a discipline rule, not a statistical claim.
How does the lot and targets block work?
It takes the account, the risk %, the entry and the stop, divides the money at risk by the stop distance times the units per lot, and rounds down to your lot step. It also gives the 1:2 and 1:3 take-profit levels, the margin and the spread cost. Contract size, lot step and limits come from your platform's specification: the presets are only common conventions.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Limits, ticks and the day lock are kept in this browser (local storage). Clearing site data resets them, so the lock is an honesty tool, not a security barrier.
