Marlin Intelligence
Structured market intelligence for crude oil
One page that shows what is moving WTI: 15 factors scored by a published rule, a single Marlin Score, the current market regime, the catalysts ahead and the scenarios the data is consistent with. Sources and dates on every number. No signals, no price targets.
Deterministic, not a black box
Each factor gets a score from -10 to +10 by a fixed rule. The Marlin Score is their weighted sum, rescaled to -100 to +100. Same data, same score.
Sources and dates everywhere
EIA, the Federal Reserve and other named sources, with the period each value describes. Missing data reads "Data unavailable" and never gets filled in.
AI that explains, not invents
Claude summarises the snapshot the score is built on. Its output is checked against that data before it is shown, and the dashboard works without it.

Frequently asked questions
What is Marlin Intelligence?
Marlin Intelligence is a structured market intelligence dashboard for WTI crude oil. It tracks 15 supply, demand and macro factors, scores each one with a published rule, combines them into a Marlin Score from -100 to +100 and labels the current market regime. Every number shows its source and date.
Is the Marlin Score a price forecast?
No. The Marlin Score describes the balance of the 15 factors today. It is not a prediction, a price target or a trade signal, and it is not personalised investment advice.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources such as the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) and the Federal Reserve (via FRED), plus licensed market data where republication requires a licence. When a source has no value, the dashboard shows Data unavailable instead of estimating one.
What does the AI do?
Claude writes a short explanation of the regime from the same structured snapshot the score is built on. It cannot add data, and its output is checked against the snapshot before it is shown. If the AI is unavailable, the dashboard still works.
