Why trust Marlin
Intelligence, not signals
Most trading content is noise. Marlin is built on four principles, each documented on its own page.
We explain the "why"
Not "buy now" — but what's actually moving gold, oil and forex: the dollar, yields and macro forces behind every move.
We stay independent
Affiliate relationships never decide our conclusions or hide a product's downsides. Every partnership is disclosed openly.
We're honest about risk
No hype, no guarantees. Trading carries real risk — we help you understand it and make informed decisions.
We cite and date our sources
Facts come from official sources and are separated from analysis and opinion. What we cannot verify is marked, not invented.

Market Regime
Not signals — intelligence. One glance shows the market regime, which factors support or contradict it, and what could change it. Built to answer "what's driving this market?" — never "buy now."
- ✓ A clearly defined regime and how it was set
- ✓ Supporting vs contradicting factors
- ✓ Key catalysts and what could invalidate the view
Be first when it launches. No spam. Informational only, not financial advice.
- RegimeBullish, Neutral or Bearish — an analytical state, not advice
- Supporting factorsInputs that line up with the regime (for example the dollar, yields or inventories)
- Contradicting factorsInputs that argue against it
- Key catalystsScheduled events that could change the picture
- Methodology & dateHow the state was set and when it was last reviewed
No probabilities or scores will be shown unless they come from a documented, tested model.

Frequently asked questions
What is Marlin?
Marlin is an independent financial intelligence platform covering Forex, Gold and Oil. We provide market analysis, trading tools and transparent broker reviews — focused on helping traders understand markets, not on signals or hype.
Is this financial advice?
No. All content is educational and for informational purposes only. Trading involves risk, and you should do your own research or consult a professional before making financial decisions.
Are your broker reviews independent?
Yes. Some links are affiliate links, but affiliate relationships never determine our conclusions or cause us to hide a product's downsides. We disclose every partnership.
Which markets does Marlin cover?
Gold (XAU/USD), oil (WTI and Brent), forex (the majors and the US dollar) and the macro data that connects them — interest rates, inflation, jobs data and Treasury yields — plus the trading tools, brokers and prop firms traders use.
Who writes Marlin's content?
Marlin is written and operated by Volodymyr Kravchenko, an independent market researcher. His areas of work are listed on the author page. Marlin does not present its authors as licensed financial advisers, and nothing on the site is personal advice.
How is Marlin's analysis created?
Analysis starts from official data and documentation such as central banks, statistical agencies, exchanges and provider websites. Facts are separated from analysis and opinion, sources are cited and dated, and anything that could not be verified against a current source is marked VERIFY CURRENT DATA. See the methodology page for details.
How does Marlin make money?
Some links to brokers, prop trading firms and trading tools are affiliate links: if you sign up through them, Marlin may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not change what we write or hide a product's downsides. See the affiliate disclosure for the full explanation.
Does Marlin provide trading signals?
No. We are not a signals service. We explain what is happening in markets and why, and provide tools to help you analyse them — but we never tell you to buy or sell.
