Frequently asked questions
Are the widgets free?
Yes, for any website, including commercial ones. We only ask that you keep the small credit line under the widget that comes with the snippet.
Where does the data come from?
The EIA widget shows figures from the U.S. Energy Information Administration's Weekly Petroleum Status Report. The Marlin Score widget combines EIA, FRED and hand-entered monthly data into a transparent score; every rule is on the methodology page.
Is this a trading signal?
No. The Marlin Score describes the balance of 15 WTI factors. It is not a forecast, a price target or advice to buy or sell.
How often does it update?
The Marlin Score refreshes several times each US trading day. The EIA widget updates after each weekly release, usually Wednesday at 10:30 ET.
Does the widget track my visitors?
No. The widget page loads no analytics, sets no cookies and has no affiliate links. Links to marlinfx.com carry a UTM tag with your site's name so we can see which sites send readers.
Can I remove the Marlin branding or get the data as an API?
Yes, with a white-label licence: your colours and logo, no credit line, and JSON access to the Marlin Score, factors and EIA figures. Get in touch through the contact page.
